Who? Renowned communication theorist Jean Baudrillard wrote about consumer culture, one of the facets of communication studies that fascinates me the most. Here’s an article (via Lucas) from the New York Times about him. A lot of his thoughts and theories went into my senior seminar at TLU on the idea of constructed “country” at Bath & Body Works… it turned out to be a paper that landed somewhere between consumer culture and semiotics.
